DeRo extended his contract with the Houston Dynamo to go through the 2010 season. The 29 year old Canadian international had a contract that kept him with the Dynamo through 2008 before the agreement to extend it.
Houston fans rejoice, Toronto FC fans probably not. DeResario talked about the possibility for playing for the Canadian MLS side someday. DeRo grew up near Toronto. His decision to extend his contract with the Dynamo is probably not welcome news for the Toronto FC fans.
Official Press Release
The Houston Chronicle reports that the Houston Dynamo are close to closing a deal that will bring Nate Jaqua to Houston in trade for Kelly Gray. Gray is a backup defender that has played in 9 games at right back or in the midfield this season for the Dynamo.

I guess Jaqua’s zero assists and one goal in 10 games this season doesn’t afford him the luxory of determining where he plays using the or else I’ll go to Europe tactic. Did the fans vote him into the allstar game?
A lot has been going on and I’ve not had a lot of time to write about it.
Bradley will drop the interm title and become full time US MNT coach. It is about time they give it to him. Good luck Bob, hopefully you do wonderful things with those boys!
LA Galaxy sign more European stars. Portuguese national defender Abel Xavier will be with the Galaxy and will be eligible to play after June 15th.
The parent company that owns Houston Dynamo are ready to start going after a downtown Houston 21-22K seat soccer specific stadium. They Dynamo currently play at the University of Houston.
It seems Alejandro Moreno has been sent from the Houston Dynamo to the Columbus Crew for Joseph Ngwenya.
I can’t figure who came out better on this trade. Both players are quality and could have a chance to step up their game with a new team after this trade.
Who do you think got the better deal out of this?
The Kansas City Wizards with their 90th+ minute moved to the lone position at the top of the table. New York really didn’t want to keep that scoreless streak going by giving 3 to Real Salt Lake in a 3-3 tie. Mathis got a couple of goals to help out my fantasy team quite a bit.
I guess what I meant was not that Houston and Colorado would end in a tie, but that New York and Real Salt Lake would be the tie game. At least I was right about Kansas City.
DC United finally get a win, will they continue in their winning ways?
Richard Mulrooney is going back to his old team, Houston Dynamo. The Dyanmo sent defender Kevin Goldthwaite and a first round 2008 SuperDraft pick to Toronto FC for Mulrooney.
Mulrooney started his career with the club when they were in San Jose in 1999. He spent some time at FC Dallas before going to Toronto, and now to Houston.
The Houston Dynamo home leg of the CCC semi-finals was postponed yesterday due to lack of electricity at their stadium. The game will be taking place today at 5pm (central time). Along with that rescheduled game DC United is hosting Chivas (the Mexican Chivas) in the other semi-final.
According to the Fox Soccer Channel online TV schedule they will be showing the Dynamo game 5pm and the DC United game directly afterwards at 7pm (both times are central time).
Hopefully we got 2 MLS victories tonight!
