I’ve seen Spain vs Latvia and watching Germany vs San Marino right now. Still to come is USA vs China and even later is DC United vs LA Galaxy. I can’t image there is much of a better day than this!
What is up with Toronto FC, they pulled off another victory today, and this time it was against a good team. Wow, they are making a move for a playoff spot.
I hope you guys in KC are having fun drinking the beer that Kevin Hartman bought for you, wish I was there!
Here you can see who we were cheering for:
While browsing the forums at BigSoccer I come across this nice tidbit of information, Kevin Hartman is buying a keg of Newcastle beer for fans before tomorrows game!
I wonder if this is a common thing in the MLS or in Kansas City. Anybody?
Well either way this is pretty cool. It really makes me want to go watch the Wizards take over the top of the table tomorrow at Arrowhead! Knowing that I won’t make it to that game I think about how much I should order the MLS package on my DISH Network system. I would love to watch RBNY come into Arrowhead tomorrow, but by the power of the Fox Soccer Channel I will be watching DC United and LA Galaxy. At least I’ll be watching some game.
I hope you all had a good long weekend. Mine was exhausting and then work was even more so when I got back. A lot of exciting stuff went down while I was out of town and then locked in my office.
Beckham may be missing from the Galaxy if he gets called back to England for some Euro 2008 qualifiers.
Then there is talk of him going on loan to Newcastle (or other European club) after the MLS season, but Frank Yallop says it won’t happen and I doubt it myself.
The Kansas City Wizards proved that they are no joke. Going down two-nil to the top team in the league usually spells trouble, but the Wizards did it and came out on top. Eddie Johnson notched a hat trick in the game. It is official, his sports psychologist is paying off big time!
Jimmy Conrad broke his jaw against the Crew this past weekend and has aparently agreed to eat only soft food for a month rather than have surgery. I suppose he misses less of the season this way, but will still miss Lamar Hunt night at Arrowhead Stadium this Saturday when the Wizards host FC Dallas.
The Kansas City Wizards with their 90th+ minute moved to the lone position at the top of the table. New York really didn’t want to keep that scoreless streak going by giving 3 to Real Salt Lake in a 3-3 tie. Mathis got a couple of goals to help out my fantasy team quite a bit.
I guess what I meant was not that Houston and Colorado would end in a tie, but that New York and Real Salt Lake would be the tie game. At least I was right about Kansas City.
DC United finally get a win, will they continue in their winning ways?

My predictions here are going to include one home win, one road win and one draw. It is up to you to figure out which are applied to which games. I guess I don’t get any of the glory of being right if no one knows what I’m predicting, so its Kansas City Wizards and New York Red Bulls to win.
Well the score was impressive, that is really all I got out of the MLSnet.com match tracker.
After a very impressive season opening win in DC the Wizards dropped out of the US Open Cup to RSL and then went into Chicago and lost there. Tonite they came back strong with a 3 - 0 victory over very unimpressive thus far Toronto FC. I hope those Toronto fans are gonna stick with thier team through the bad as well as the good.
The Juice (Eddie Johnson) got back on the score sheet and now has equaled his goal tally from last season.
The Columbus Crew are out of the US Open Cup at the hands of the Galaxy. Landon Donovan hooked up with Nate Jaqua for Jaquas first goal of the season and the game winner in the 1-0 victory for the Galaxy.
The Crew suffer the same fate as the Kansas City Wizards already have this year dropping out of the USOC early. Maybe it will allow them to focus on league play a little bit more. If last year is any sign of things to come, both of these teams will need that extra time to focus on league play.
When it seems every other team in the league is bringing in new players to give them a boost, the Wizards seem to have been just hanging out waiting for the season to start. Aparently that is not the case.
Carlos Marinelli, a 25 year old Argentinian was just brought on by the Wizards earlier this week. They hope Carlos will fill the midfield playmaking role, somewhat similar to the former Wizard Preki.
Read about Marinelli at Yahoo! Sports
Well it is now clear what the Galaxy had planned when they picked up Joe Cannon. They just traded Kevin Hartman to the Kansas City Wizards. That is exciting news for a Wizards fan. I’m just gonna go ahead and say that the Wizards will get back to the playoffs next season with the addition of Hartman, and probably eventually another MLS Championship!
